Frequently Asked Questions
You have questions, we have answers. Below are some of the more frequently asked questions we receive about our products, our way of thinking, and our business. If we haven't answered a question specifically below, send us your question and we will be happy to answer it.
Contracts & Billing
At BentoSMB, we believe that we should provide a service that you enjoy, see benefit from, and are using to your full advantage. That is why all of our contracts have no long term commitment. With this said, we offer 6 and 12 month discounts to reduce costs. Additionally, many of the items we will work on together may take a few months to show their true value.
We want to make the payment process as simple as possible for our businesses. All of our plans are billed on a monthly basis to a credit card provided. Invoices are then automatically sent out at the same time to the email you specify. Any additional charges in a given month are billed on the 1st of the following month.
During development, your site takes resources and requires maintenance to ensure that everything remains secure and safe. While it is not accessible under your proper domain, it is accessible through our development domain we setup, meaning others could access it or attack it. Because of this, the site requires maintenance and security checks just as a live website would and is why we charge for website hosting as soon as we begin work on your site.
Websites
Our standard answer is 2-4 weeks, but this depends on a number of factors. We have a process we start with that helps us get everything done in 2 weeks. Each website is custom though, so curating content, locating images, sourcing plugins, and adding custom functionality all change the length of time.
In the end, we always work at the pace that feels comfortable for the client. We have had sites completed within 7 days and others that have taken a few months.
